HTML FAQ

Do I need to learn HTML if I use a good WSYWIG editor?
No, If you want to create fast-and-dirty web pages and have no ambition to make them good quality or easy to access, then you can probably get by without understanding HTML.  However, If you are even slightly serious about making web pages that people can access and use, a basic understanding of HTML is an absolute must. This doesn't mean you need to learn the whole language thoroughly — just that you need to understand the structure of the language and have an idea of how it all fits together.

I am not a programmer; will I be able to learn HTML?
You don't have to be a computer programmer, HTML is not a programming language — it's much simpler than that   On a scale of difficulty it's more like the "secret codes" that children play with. The thing that makes it harder is that there's so much of it to learn, but remember — you don't have to learn it all, you just have to understand how it works.
